NASD’s next semester will be an exploration or art, politics, and resistance.
The dates of this course will be from Tuesday May 12 – Tuesday June 23, from 6-8PM (inc. mid semester break).
In the lead up to the Art of Resistance Tour, NASD will be hosting a six week course exploring art and resistance.
This practical course will explore the relationship between art and politics whilst also offering inspiration for artistic expression of politics in the current political climate on this continent.
This course will explore historical and current examples and analysis of art and resistance, personal experiences of repression due to support of Palestinian liberation and practical classes creating political art with help from artists who can guide as you create.
This course aims to provide a deeper understanding of the power of art whilst also acknowledging the real life consequences of artists expressing radical leftist ideas.

*** This course comes in the lead up to the Art of Resistance Tour. The Art of Resistance Tour (A.R.T) July 2026 is a collaborative multimedia travelling by road show expressing dissent on location at military and resource extraction location across the continent.
